How to Help

The team at ESGAO are volunteers who love Greyhounds, and enjoy each others company. We started this group to focus on the dogs, and concentrate on finding the best match for the dog and the family. We do this without pay, and in our spare time. These dogs have spent the first part of their lives part of the Greyhound racing industry, and now they need a loving home to be a dog.

How our dogs are prepared for life in their new homes

Our dogs are fostered in our members homes to teach these newbies how to act in a home setting. We teach them how to go up and down stairs, what glass doors and windows are, how to walk on a leash. We document how they react to noises, small dogs, cats, other male dogs, other female dogs, etc... We then can give the new adopters a sense of how the greyhounds acts, their traits and their manners.
