WJS Tavo
March 3, 2017

Our newly arriving Greyhounds are taking their required medicines, learning their manners and, being evaluated by the foster families.  The evaluations are so we can see the individual dog’s behavior and traits.  It is important for you and the dog so we can find our dogs their forever homes the first time.

Our newly arrived Greyhounds will not be available for adoption for a minimum of 28 days after arrival.

He is a very lovable and playful guy.  He loves people and gets so excited when he sees you.  His tail is always wagging.  He loves to be petted and loved.

Tavo has learned to play with toys and enjoys taking them outside and tossing them up in the air and running around with them.

He is eating and drinking really well and is taking his medications.

He does not like a crate so we leave him out when we are gone and he sleeps on our bedroom floor.

Tavo is still learning how to do stairs.  He knows how to go up by him self but he still needs a little help going down.  We have a couple stairs outside he does up and down fine but the whole flight of stairs inside the house he is still a little hesitant to go down alone.  But he’s getting better.

He basically ignores our little dog.  He loves to snuggle with our greyhound Sam in his bed.
His ears are always up and he looks so cute.  He is not afraid of strangers and goes right up to new people.  He has only had an episode of accidents in the house but I think that was from the medicine.  Over all he is a very curious and loving guy.

4/25  Just wanted to give you a little update on Tavo.

He has mastered the stairs.  He gets up every morning with our alarm clock, jumps up, shakes, and then comes over and gives us a kiss.

Tavo is defenitly a velcro dog and just wants to be petted and loved.
He loves belly rubs.  He will put his foot up and try to reach out for you if you walk away.

He prefers women.  He equally likes men, but if a couple comes over
he always will go to the woman first and follow her around for
attention.
He also likes shoes.  Hes never crewed any of them, just likes to
rearrange or brings them outside with him.
Tavo is always hungry.  When we fed everyone we have to fed him first.
We made him meatballs so hopefully he will start gaining some weight.
Since its been nice outside, he loves laying in the grass in the sun.
He's such a good boy and I think he would prefer a family with another
pet or someone who would be home often.
