PW's Grandy
January 20, 2017

Our newly arriving Greyhounds are taking their required medicines, learning their manners and, being evaluated by the foster families.  The evaluations are so we can see the individual dog’s behavior and traits.  It is important for you and the dog so we can find our dogs their forever homes the first time.

Our newly arrived Greyhounds will not be available for adoption for a minimum of 28 days after arrival.

Appears to be cat tolerant.  She adapting well.  The first several days she laid around most of the time.
I think she didn't feel well because of the pancur.  As soon as she was done
with her 3 days she was up and around much more.
When she first came in our house she jumped up on the couch and stayed
there.  Like I said the first several days until she was done with the
dewormer she laid down.  John and I thought maybe she had been in a house
before since she seemed to know the couch.
Eats all of her food, every time.  Loves treats.
Cut her pad the other day outside.  Seems to be healing well.
After she was here about a week we let her into our bigger yard.  She loved
that.  But once she cut her pad we have her restricted to the smaller area
until it heals.
We took her picture and Naomi's the first night we were here.  I wanted to
advertise them at the clinic where I work.
She does cockroach.
When she goes out she scratches at the door when she wants back in.  Jason
always did this too and still does.  Must be the Alabama dogs.
She learning to play with toys, just a little bit but chews the wicker
basket the toys are in.
So far quiet and sweet.
Took a nap with John last weekend, they shared the couch.  She is in the
crate at night and when we aren't home.  Doesn't seem to mind going in.  The
crate she sleeps in at night is in our room.

3/2  Grandy is doing good.  She had her first meet and greet 1 week ago.  She did very well with people and a small toddler.  Friendly, went up to people.  She was the only greyhound there.  She did meet 2 other dogs that came in.

4/1  Here is a little more update on Grande(Candy).  She went to her second meet and greet a few weeks ago.  She did better with other dogs there.  Someone did comment that she had a white face.  She is black and they do show signs of aging quicker.

She is learning the steps, did well today.  We have an upstairs that we don't use on a daily basis.  It is blocked off from the dogs because if they get up there they are usually doing something they shouldn't be doing.

Does bark and jump up when we are coming home, very excited.  Always was excited but now barks too.
